Position Summary As a Student Mentor — Life Skills & Social Development , you will play a vital role in supporting our students as they build practical life skills, develop social confidence, and learn to navigate diverse real-life situations. You'll plan and lead engaging activities, model everyday problem-solving, and build authentic relationships that help our students grow and thrive. Requires evening and weekend availability. Key Responsibilities Plan & Lead Activities Collaborate with the executive director and director of student development to plan a variety of life skills lessons and social activities each week. Lead group outings to local attractions, museums, parks, and community venues. Organize special events like themed parties, holiday celebrations, and social gatherings. Guide high-adventure activities such as hiking, kayaking, or biking. Facilitate creative projects, cooking lessons, or other practical skill-building sessions. Host social gaming events, movie nights, or game nights to foster connection. Ensure the safety and well-being of students during all activities. Mentor & Support Students Build strong, supportive relationships with students, rooted in NeuroDev's philosophy of belonging to become . Model and teach everyday life skills — from planning outings and managing budgets to navigating social situations and solving problems. Help students develop independence by encouraging them to take an active role in planning and participating in activities.
