Job Description

The Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant is an integral and important part of our team. You will be the one to bring the smiles, the laughter, the joy, the dancing, and the singing into our Resident's lives. The Life Enrichment / Activities Assistants help keep all of our Patients/ Residents happy and content by meeting their psychosocial needs. This includes planning and leading appropriate programming for the cognitively challenged and also completing the proper documentation requirements. The Life Enrichment / Activities Assistant will provide, carry out, and lead recreational scheduled programs according to the Patient's/ Resident's interests. Would prefer applicant with MDS Assessment experience in Activities. Qualification Needs to be enthusiastic, energetic, easy-going, outgoing, positive, "people person" Must be able to speak in front of a crowd Exhibit kindness, compassion, flexibility, patience, Able to prioritize, make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a Resident's best interest. Able to read, write, and speak English Must be organized. Must at least be a high school graduate. Some knowledge in Arts & Crafts, Music, Games, Art or Recreational Therapy Must be able to verbally communicate well with Residents and Others. Would prefer applicant with MDS Assessment experience in Activities Scheduled Hours available: 10am
