The Life Enrichment Assistant helps provide meaningful recreational opportunities designed to meet the physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients and residents while creating an atmosphere of fun, engagement, and enjoyment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and has a genuine passion for working with seniors. Position Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Life Enrichment/Recreation Director in assessing each patient or resident to identify individual interests, preferences, and activity needs.
• Assist with planning and providing therapeutic programs designed to meet each individual's needs.
• Provide activities that support the physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of patients and residents.
• Participate in individualized one-on-one programs for patients and residents as appropriate.
• Encourage participation and create an engaging, positive, and enjoyable environment.
• Build positive relationships with patients, residents, families, community members, and NHC partners.
• Assist with maintaining positive community and public relations.
• Support the Life Enrichment/Recreation Director with departmental programs, events, and activities.
• Follow NHC standards, policies, procedures, and the Better Way culture.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive approach when working with patients, residents, families, coworkers, and leadership. Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability and desire to work with elderly patients and residents.
• Willingness to learn new ideas, programs, and skills.
• Positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
• Ability to work effectively with NHC partners, families, patients, residents, and members of the community.
• Patience, strong organizational skills, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
