Turning Point Center of Chittenden County The COTS Outreach Recovery Coach provides on-site peer-based recovery support to individuals accessing services at the Daystation and Waystation. This position facilitates recovery meetings, provides one-on-one coaching, supports recovery system navigation, and offers training and consultation to COTS staff. The Recovery Coach also supports overdose prevention efforts and assists staff and guests in accessing harm reduction resources. This position is full-time and is eligible for the Center's employee benefits package which includes accrued sickness and vacation time, paid holidays, and an 80% employer sponsored health insurance plan with 100% vision and dental insurance. The hourly wage range is $21-$23. This is an in-person position and requires some travel within Chittenden County. The Center is an EOE and encourages individuals in long-term recovery to apply. Essential Job Responsibilities:

Direct Support & Coaching

• Provide onsite peer recovery coaching to guests at the Daystation and Waystation.
• Guide participants in identifying goals, exploring recovery pathways, and developing wellness plans.
• Support individuals in navigating recovery systems, treatment options, and community resources. Group Facilitation
• Facilitate peer-led recovery meetings and groups onsite.
• Ensure meetings are inclusive, recovery-informed, and aligned with program expectations. Staff Support & Training
• Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to COTS staff on recovery, harm reduction, boundaries, and engagement.
• Share recovery-informed practices and support staff responding to guest needs. Overdose Prevention & Harm Reduction
• Provide guidance and education on overdose prevention and safer-use practices.
• Support distribution of naloxone and other harm reduction materials in collaboration with partners.
• Assist staff in responding to substance-related crises using trauma- and recovery-informed approaches. Documentation & Communication
• Document coaching interactions in accordance with program standards.
• Maintain communication with TPCCC staff and supervisors to coordinate care and ensure participant safety. Qualifications
• Lived experience with recovery; two years sustained recovery preferred.
• Peer Recovery Coach certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with harm reduction, motivational interviewing, or trauma-informed care preferred.
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and crisis response skills.
• Ability to maintain boundaries and work collaboratively with COTS staff.
• Valid Driver's License; reliable transportation and current insurance coverage. Benefits
