Job Description
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 8:30 AM-4:30 PM , with one weekend per month required. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Life Enrichment Team to plan, coordinate, and implement creative and engaging programs and activities for Residents. Develop activities that support the social, physical, creative, cognitive, spiritual, and emotional needs of our Residents. Build meaningful relationships with Residents and encourage participation based on individual interests, abilities, and preferences. Coordinate and participate in off-site Resident outings and activities . Safely operate the Congregational Home community bus to transport Residents to medical appointments, activities, outings, and other destinations as needed. Assist with scheduling and coordinating Resident appointments and transportation needs. Assess Residents and complete and maintain individualized care plans related to Life Enrichment programming. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to activities and Resident participation. Work closely with other departments and members of the care team to ensure activities are safe, appropriate, and meaningful for Residents. Assist with special events, celebrations, and community programs. Requirements Must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or activity professional who is currently licensed or registered, as required by the State of Wisconsin, OR have at least two years of experience working in a social or recreational program within the last five years . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Enjoys working with older adults and creating meaningful Resident experiences. Proficient with computers and able to learn and adapt to different technology platforms. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record. Must be comfortable operating a community bus and transporting Residents to appointments and activities. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
