We are looking for an Operations Manager who shares that belief and who also has the confidence, judgment, and organizational skills to help manage a complex and active environment. About the Position This is not a traditional office management position. Experience working directly with individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, homelessness, housing instability, poverty, or other barriers to stability Experience working with people who may also be navigating mental health concerns, substance use, trauma, or other complex life circumstances Experience supervising, coordinating, or providing leadership to staff or volunteers An understanding of how poverty, hunger, and housing instability can affect a person's daily life, choices, and ability to access services Ability to engage people without judgment and provide support that respects each person's dignity, autonomy, and individual circumstances Confidence responding to difficult or emotionally charged situations while remaining calm and respectful Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation practices Strong judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions independently when necessary Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through Ability to establish compassionate and appropriate professional boundaries Comfort working in a busy environment where needs and priorities can change quickly Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team where everyone contributes to the work Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Someone who can listen without judgment, offer compassion without losing appropriate boundaries, and remain calm when circumstances become difficult.
