Job Description

Manager of Family Services Autism Care Therapy is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager of Family Services to oversee the development, operation, and growth of our Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC). This position combines program management, clinical oversight, staff supervision, and community engagement to support children and families. Required License —
MUST HAVE
Applicants must hold an active Illinois LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) license. Applicants without one of these licenses will not be considered. Key Responsibilities Operations & Program Management Oversee all aspects and functions of the Behavioral Health Clinic. Develop and implement policies, procedures, workflows, templates, and systems to ensure effective service delivery. Lead continuous quality improvement efforts to enhance program effectiveness, staff performance, and client outcomes. Develop and implement the clinic's strategic plan to guide growth and service expansion. Clinical Oversight & Service Delivery Hire, train, mentor, and supervise BHC staff. Provide clinical supervision and oversight to applicable staff, emphasizing documentation standards, strengths-based care planning, trauma-informed practices, and system navigation. Review and approve clinical assessments, treatment plans, IM+CANS, and progress notes to ensure quality and compliance with funder requirements. Monitor service delivery to ensure timely referrals, follow-ups, and consistent care coordination for children and families. Supervise case management staff to ensure client needs are assessed holistically across behavioral, social, educational, and medical domains. Create and maintain client onboarding workflows to ensure smooth and timely service initiation. Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to support collaboration, problem-solving, and integrated service delivery. Maintain a small clinical caseload and provide direct intervention as needed. Compliance, Billing & Accreditation Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, Illinois HFS/DHS requirements, and agency standards through ongoing quality reviews. Monitor billing practices and develop systems to support financial sustainability. Collaborate with funders and lead efforts to meet and maintain applicable accreditation requirements. Support the clinic through audits, reviews, and compliance visits. Community Engagement Build and maintain referral relationships with Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, schools, social service agencies, developmental pediatricians, early intervention providers, psychologists, and other relevant partners. Participate in Community Stakeholder Meetings to inform local systems and increase awareness of clinic services. Connect children and families with Illinois resources that reduce stress and improve quality of life. Required Qualifications & Skills Active Illinois LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT license required . IM+CANS certification required before employment begins , or the ability to obtain certification before the start date. Experience in human services, particularly behavioral health or disability services. Strong clinical skills, sound professional judgment, and proficiency in interpreting and approving clinical assessments, including IM+CANS. In-depth knowledge of the Illinois developmental disabilities system and resources available to children and families. Familiarity with Medicaid, insurance policies, state behavioral health regulations, and accreditation standards. Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and workflows that meet clinical and regulatory standards. Demonstrated experience in program development and continuous quality improvement. Proven leadership experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, staff, or interns, with an emphasis on mentoring and professional development. Experience working with diverse populations and using culturally sensitive approaches. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to collaborate with families, staff, funders, and community partners. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to adapt, solve problems, and align clinical practices with program goals. Preferred Qualification Familiarity with motivational interviewing principles.
