$87.50/hour Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Director of Social Services to lead and oversee the Social Services Department. This position plays a key role in supporting residents and families by coordinating psychosocial services, discharge planning, care planning, and community resources. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in long-term care and a strong commitment to improving resident outcomes through compassionate, high-quality social services. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the Social Services Department. Supervise and support social work staff. Coordinate resident assessments, care planning, and discharge planning. Assist residents and families with financial, emotional, and social service needs. Provide guidance on admissions, benefits, advanced directives, and payment resources. Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support resident care. Develop and maintain department policies and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Participate in facility leadership meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Services, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in social services. Experience working with geriatric populations, preferably in long-term care. Active Massachusetts LSW license required ; LICSW preferred.
