Job Description

Bilingual English/Spanish Youth Program Directo Circulo seeks a full time bilingual youth Director work in its Long Beach, NY location with children and youth.
General Description:
The Youth Director will oversee Circulo de la Hispanidad's Long Beach after-school enrichment programs. These include tarea escolar/homework assistance, Sábado Cultural/Saturday Cultural Program and related programs including dance, guitar, basketball, the youth committee and the Summer Camp. The Director is responsible for implementing programming and also overseeing staff who work in the programs. The Director engages children and youth and provides direct support to them. In addition the Director works collaboratively with parents to engage them in the lives of their children. The Director works collaboratively with other Circulo youth programs and helps with general duties to support the organization.
Employment Status:
Full time. This position also requires working evenings and weekends when required to help coordinate and oversee the operation of the Department and its programs and services.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in the human services field, or related degree with a minimum of three years experience in social services or related field, or two years college with 3-5 years experience work with youth and implementing youth programs. Bilingual English/Spanish Three years experience in providing youth services Child Abuse and Neglect certification C.P.R. and First Aid training Clearance from the NYS Central Registry and other NYS clearances A valid driver's license and ability to drive 15 passenger van Ability to lift 45 lbs and move boxes
Salary:
Up to $60000 commensurate with experience.
