. Director of Social Work Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and strategic Director of Social Work to lead and oversee all social work services within our organization. The Director of Social Work will provide leadership, supervision, and program development to ensure high-quality psychosocial services that support clients, residents, patients, and families. This role is responsible for staff management, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous quality improvement. Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee the daily operations of the Social Work Department. Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate social work staff. Develop, implement, and maintain social work policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive client care plans. Provide consultation and support for complex psychosocial cases. Monitor program outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a resource for clients, families, staff, and community partners. Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation. Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and referral sources. Support crisis intervention, discharge planning, advocacy, and care coordination efforts. Prepare reports and present departmental performance metrics to leadership. QualificationsRequired Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) a plus. Current social work licensure in NYS (LCSW preferred). Minimum of 5 years of progressive social work experience. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of social service programs, care coordination, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Preferred Experience in healthcare, long-term care. Experience with program development and quality improvement initiatives.
