The Director of Social Services directs the planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating of the social services program in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that the emotional and psycho-social needs of the residents are met and maintained while assisting residents in navigating through the healthcare system and overcoming barriers to meet their health and wellness goals and providing appropriate education in support of achieving those goals. Essential Activities and Tasks Operations Management
- 30% Assesses and interprets social, psychological, and emotional needs of residents and families and ensures their needs are being met.
- 30% Develops, implements, and maintains an ongoing quality assurance program for the Social Services Department.
- 25% Listens and responds to the needs of residents and staff members.
- 15% Manages direct and indirect reporting staff in the Social Services Department.
- Up to 8 hours/day Standing
- Up to 8 hours/day Walking
- Up to 4 hours/day Lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving equipment, supplies, etc.
- Up to 25 pounds Work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- As needed for coverage On-call availability
- 24/7 for emergencies Subject to emotionally upset and hostile residents, patients, family members, etc.
- Occasional May be exposed to infectious waste, disease, conditions, etc. including exposure to the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses
