Position Overview:
Housing Navigator The Housing Navigator plays a vital role in supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability. This position works closely with clients and community partners to secure safe, stable housing while connecting individuals to essential services that promote long-term success. Responsibilities may evolve based on organizational priorities and community needs. Job Summary The Housing Navigator leads outreach efforts, builds meaningful relationships with clients, and facilitates housing placement. This role helps individuals navigate housing systems, overcome barriers, and maintain long-term stability through coordinated services and resource connections. Key Responsibilities Conduct outreach in shelters, encampments, and community locations to engage individuals experiencing homelessness Develop and maintain partnerships with landlords, property managers, and community organizations Assess client needs, strengths, and barriers related to housing stability Assist clients with housing applications, rental assistance programs, and subsidy opportunities Connect clients to supportive services, including healthcare, behavioral health, and financial education Collaborate with service providers to ensure coordinated and consistent care Serve as a liaison between clients and housing providers Maintain accurate and timely documentation in HMIS and other required systems Stay informed on housing resources, policies, and best practices through ongoing training Represent the organization at meetings, events, and community engagements Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications Preferred:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or a related fieldRequired Skills & Experience:
