Job Description

Purpose of the
Position:
The Outside Outreach Specialist will represent the organization in the community by visiting homeless shelters, emergency shelters, day centers, and other locations serving individuals experiencing homelessness. The Specialist will educate shelter residents and staff about available housing-support services and help connect eligible individuals to an appropriate housing-support agency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Visit homeless shelters and community organizations on a scheduled basis. Introduce the organization's housing-support services to shelter residents. Explain how individuals can receive assistance with housing navigation, housing applications, referrals, and housing stability. Develop positive working relationships with shelter directors, case managers, social workers, and outreach teams.
Pay:
$35.00 per hour
