POSITION SUMMARY ATHENA
Consulting is seeking Lobby Navigators (Human Services Specialist V) to fill positions within Montgomery County DHHS Children, Youth, and Family Services - OESS, supporting walk-in clients at OESS regional office lobbies on a full-time, temporary basis with potential to renew; this is an on-site position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet, screen, and assist clients who walk in to the lobbies of the OESS regional offices Assist clients with signing into QLess Assist ADA clients with reasonable accommodation requests Identify the needs that bring the client to the OESS regional offices Provide excellent client/customer service at every interaction Always maintain the privacy of client information Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Providing excellent client/customer service at every touchpoint Assessing client needs, connecting them with appropriate programs or community resources, and guiding them through next steps effectively Maintaining strict privacy of sensitive client information and handling cases with integrity and discretion
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Human Services Specialist V classification/experience level required per Montgomery County merit system standards Prior client-facing or customer service experience strongly preferred Experience working in a high-volume, walk-in service environment preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and greeting clients in a high-volume lobby environment Working hours Monday-Friday, standard business hours Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
