Position Overview As a Peer Support Specialist, you will use your own lived experience of recovery, mental health, or other life challenges to inspire hope and model wellness for others. You'll provide emotional support, guidance, and advocacy while helping individuals build self-confidence, set goals, and access community resources. Responsibilities- Offer one-on-one and group peer support services in a nonjudgmental, compassionate manner
- Use personal experience to promote recovery and self-advocacy
- Help individuals develop coping skills, identify strengths, and create action plans
- Support clients in navigating community resources and treatment systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic, person-centered care
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Document interactions and progress according to company standards Qualifications
- Lived experience with recovery (mental health, substance use, trauma, or similar)
- Must be Certified Peer Support Specialist
- Strong interpersonal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to foster trust and build supportive relationships
- Reliable, empathetic, and committed to empowering others
