Teaching Full Job Description TITLE:

Housing Specialist

REPORTS TO

Housing Programs Manager GRADE:

3 ($39 - 48K annually) Full Time, 35 hours per week

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the rental assistance program for low-income families. This individual will assist clients with their housing searches and monitor the inspections of the tenant's housing. They will also conduct income determinations for the program participants to determine continued eligibility. Must maintain accurate computer records and files.

EDUCATION

&/or

EXPERIENCE

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Related experience could include case management, customer service, teaching or training, social work and property management.

SKILLS:

Ability to work independently and manage time and organize workflow. Interpersonal, listening, organizational and computing skills. Must be sensitive to people's difficulties and capable of responding to clients in a non-judgmental manner.
