Consumers have access to peer support, socialization, education and training lead by consumers sharing their lived experiences. Through these experiences, consumers are better equipped to lead healthy lives and participate in their communities. Role Summary As a Housing Navigator, you will help people connect to stable housing by coordinating community-based resources and maintaining clear, timely records. This role exists to reduce barriers and support long-term wellness through practical, person-centered navigation.

Key responsibilities include:

Build and maintain relationships with landlords, shelters, and housing providers in Newark and surrounding areas Coordinate referrals and follow-through across housing and behavioral health systems Complete peer support and case management documentation accurately and on schedule Use computer and internet tools to track contacts, applications, and outcomes Work independently in the community, including local travel as needed Required qualifications/skills: Knowledge of housing and behavioral health systems Strong documentation practices in peer support/case management settings Computer and internet competency Ability to manage community-based work with professionalism and reliability If you're ready to bring your experience and steady follow-through to this work, we encourage you to apply. A Typical Workday Your day starts onsite to review priorities, messages, and updates from community partners. You'll then spend time in the field—meeting with housing contacts, checking on application statuses, and confirming next steps so people know what to expect. Midday often includes quick documentation touchpoints and follow-up calls to keep timelines moving. You'll adjust plans when community connections require flexibility, then wrap up by organizing notes, confirming upcoming appointments, and preparing a clear plan for the next day's outreach.
