Description The Community Service Federal Work-Study position provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience while serving the local community. Students will represent Clark State College by delivering excellent customer service and supporting community partners through a variety of service-based activities coordinated by Career Services. Provide professional and courteous customer service while engaging with community partners and the public Support community-based service placements, which may include but are not limited to: o Tutoring and academic support o Local animal shelters o Food pantries o Other approved community service organizations identified by Career Services Assist with community outreach and service events hosted or supported by Clark State College Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and accountability at all assigned locations Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated customer service experience Ability to work independently and take initiative Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks effectively Reliable transportation to and from off-campus community partner sites

Work Environment:

This position may involve working at multiple off-campus community partner locations. Work settings will vary depending on the assigned service placement.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as needed Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing 30 pounds or more

Must successfully pass a BCI criminal background check Must comply with Clark State College's Confidentiality Agreement and all applicable policies Preferred Availability (Hours and Days of the Week): Up to 18 hours per week during academic semesters Up to 28 hours per week during academic breaks and the summer semester (based on federal work-study eligibility) Work hours generally fall within an 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday schedule Schedule is flexible and designed to accommodate the student's class schedule
