If you are passionate about supporting children and families impacted by adoption, foster care, kinship care, or out-of-home care, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working with a mission-driven organization dedicated to strengthening families and communities. Position Summary The Journeys Support Specialist is responsible for planning, promoting, and coordinating activities and services for Wisconsin families impacted by adoption or out-of-home care in accordance with program contracts. This position serves as a vital connection between families and community resources by providing support, encouragement, education, and opportunities for meaningful engagement. What You'll Do Plan and coordinate family-centered activities and events throughout the region. Organize and facilitate family fun events, caregiver support groups, youth activities, and networking opportunities. Build relationships with community organizations and develop local resource connections. Provide support, referrals, and information to children, caregivers, and families. Promote program services through outreach and community engagement. Travel regularly throughout the southern Wisconsin region to connect with families and partner organizations.
Schedule Part-Time:
20 hours per week Hybrid position Regular travel throughout southern Wisconsin required Evening and weekend availability needed approximately two times per month for family events Compensation $22.00-$28.00 per hour Starting wage is based on education, experience, and qualifications. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, or a related field. Two years of experience working with adoption, foster care, kinship care, family services, or a related human services field.
Requirements Candidates must have:
