KVC Kansas | Full-Time | Topeka, KansasThe Youth & Family Specialist will provide home and community support to promote safety and stability through assessment, direct intervention, care coordination and referral to appropriate services to help meet their needsHybrid work schedule: 1-2 in office as this is community based work with families and youthEducation and experience requirements:
Bachelors degree in social work, counseling, criminal justice, child and family development, education, or related field. Years of related work experience may be substituted for years of education.
Previous experience working with children and family services is preferred.
All KVC Kansas employees must be at least 21 years of age.

Licensure & Certifications:
Valid drivers license and auto insurance required.All KVC Kansas employees must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Skills:
Two or more years experience in children and family services preferred Prevention Services and in-home services experienceBSRB Licensure within the state of KS preferred but not requiredWhat you will do:Assessment and Goal Setting:
Conduct comprehensive initial assessments using standardized tools to identify family strengths and needs. Collaborate with families to develop personalized, strengths based service plans aligned with program objectives.Service Coordination and Advocacy:
Facilitate access to essential resources such as housing, healthcare, and employment by coordinating referrals and advocating for timely, culturally responsive support.Support and Education:
Deliver evidence based training in parenting and life skills including Solution Based Casework to strengthen the five protective factors and enhance family resilience.Monitoring and Compliance:
Regularly evaluate progress to adjust interventions as needed. Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and reporting in accordance with regulatory standards.Team Collaboration and Growth:
Actively participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and professional development to ensure integrated service delivery and continuous quality improvement.Community Engagement:
