SUMMARY Serves as a liaison between Acara Hospice and the community regarding community and patient needs. Promotes hospice programs and services while maintaining the standards of practice consistent with quality health care in a fiscally responsible manner.
QUALIFICATIONS I.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred. II.
Experience:
At least one year of sales experience in the healthcare field is preferred. Work with the Microsoft suite of applications, documenting within an EMR (electronic medical record), and use of Canva are required. III.
Skills:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the Acara Hospice Team, the community, medical professionals, the Medical Director, and the Governing Body. Excellent interpersonal communication. IV.
Licenses:
A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation is required.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS I.
Works under a variety of conditions in patient homes, facilities, and offices; ability to travel locally; ability to work a flexible schedule; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT I.
Requires the ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs. Ability to travel. Sitting is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION I.
Establish and promote positive professional relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, and case managers within an assigned territory to promote our hospice services. II. Educate the community, referral sources, patients, and families on hospice services through daily, planned activities including in-services, one-on-one presentations, and group meetings. III. Develop, execute, and evaluate strategic marketing plans including tactics to meet budgeted admission goals. IV. Work directly with patients and their families to help educate them about hospice care. V. Grow the reputation of Acara Hospice Care in the community through strategic outreach to community partners. VI. Gather and organize account-related information and provide input on key customer opportunities and proposed contracting. VII. Fully integrates in team our culture and collaborate with our top-notch clinical staff daily. IX. Ensures that patient needs are recorded and shared with the office team in a seamless and timely manner. X. Maintains and manages a sales territory database. XI. Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of, and ensures compliance with all local, state and federal laws relating to marketing of the agency. XII. Staying within the budgeted expenses set by management for all in-services and activities. XIII. Other duties as assigned by the Governing Body.
