Join the Howard Center Street Outreach Team and work collaboratively with the Burlington Police Department, the Burlington Fire Department, Howard Center's Crisis Services and area service providers to respond to real-time calls for service to emergent situations. Response to these calls can may include deescalation, triage, immediate support, and coordination of other crisis services. In your "down time" you will be reaching out to individuals who frequent the downtown core to provide support and connect them to services, as appropriate. Some interim case management duties and follow up required, dependent on the context and situation. This job takes place in a variety of settings in the community: the streets, parks, the police department, UVMMC, private homes, etc.
