We are looking for a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our clinical team. The Substance Abuse Counselor evaluates clients' chemical dependency, develops individualized interventions, treatment, and recovery plans, and facilitates group and individual counseling sessions within the treatment philosophies and policies of the program. This is a safety-sensitive position. What You'll Do Duties may include, but are not limited to: Provide individual and group chemical dependency counseling Assess clients for substance abuse, dependence, and other addictive behaviors Perform biopsychosocial and functional assessments for assigned clients Develop and implement individualized treatment and recovery plans Reassess clients throughout their stay to determine their response to care and identify significant changes in condition Actively participate in the multidisciplinary team process by providing and sharing information with the Clinical Director and other team members that contributes to and positively impacts the overall plan of treatment for the client Participate in treatment planning and discharge/aftercare planning as appropriate Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with Passages guidelines Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and client confidentiality What We're Looking For We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor who is passionate about helping clients understand their substance use and supporting them through meaningful, lasting change. Required Qualifications Current
CADC, SUDCC, CATC
Certification, or equivalent certification/credential required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Current, valid California Driver License with a satisfactory driving record, as determined by company discretion. Additional Qualifications Must successfully complete all applicable pre-employment requirements, including tuberculosis screening, background checks, driving record checks, drug screening, and professional reference checks. Ongoing screenings and monitoring may be required during employment in accordance with applicable law and company policy. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and holidays, to support the needs of a 24/7/365 healthcare facility Why Join Passages?
