Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST; up to 40 hours per week. Schedule may be negotiable based on center needs.

Contract Duration:

Through November 30, 2026, with potential extension through March 31, 2027.

Contract / Independent Contractor We are seeking a qualified Trainee Employee Assistance Program (TEAP) Specialist / Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to provide onsite services at the Flint Hills Job Corps Center in Manhattan, Kansas. The provider will work with adolescents and young adults and collaborate with the center's Health and Wellness team and other staff to support student health, wellness, and substance-abuse-related needs. Key Responsibilities Provide TEAP/substance abuse counseling and related services within the provider's licensed scope of practice. Assess student needs and provide appropriate counseling, intervention, referrals, and follow-up. Maintain timely and accurate student health records and required documentation. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable Job Corps requirements. Collaborate with Health and Wellness staff, counseling staff, mental health professionals, and other center personnel. Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and consultations as appropriate. Maintain appropriate community referral resources. Follow Job Corps policies, procedures, professional standards, and applicable state and federal requirements. Participate in required training, quality-improvement activities, and compliance activities. Qualifications Must be a qualified TEAP Specialist or Substance Abuse Counselor . Must possess an active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification that meets the requirements to practice in the state where the center is located. Must meet applicable Job Corps education, credentialing, licensing, and training requirements. Experience working with adolescents and young adults , particularly socially and economically disadvantaged populations, is preferred. Must successfully complete required background/credentialing processes. Must maintain required professional credentials and insurance. Work Location This is an onsite position at: Flint Hills Job Corps Center 4620 Eureka Drive Manhattan, KS 66503 Schedule Up to 40 hours per week , generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST . Final hours will be determined based on student-care needs and coordination with center management.

RATE :

TEAP Specialist $27

RATE:

Certified Substance Abuse Counselor $25.00

Pay:

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
