Boston Rehabilitation Center is a premier behavioral health facility dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate, individualized care. Our Boston facility is a 40-bed detox and residential treatment center, providing 24/7 support for individuals recovering from substance use disorders.

Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Substance Abuse Counselors to provide therapeutic support and guidance to clients in our 40-bed detox and residential program. Counselors play a critical role in facilitating recovery by leading individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and ensuring clients receive the emotional and psychological support they need. This is a full-time, onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and coping strategies Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team Provide crisis intervention and emotional support as needed Facilitate psychoeducational groups on topics such as addiction, mental health, and life skills Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Work closely with medical and case management teams to coordinate comprehensive care Educate clients and their families on the recovery process and available community resources Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while fostering a safe and supportive treatment environment

Qualifications:

Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of Bachelors degree required. Full licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent) in Massachusetts is required Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health settings is required Strong knowledge of addiction treatment models, counseling techniques, and relapse prevention strategies Ability to facilitate both individual and group counseling effectively Excellent communication, organizational, and crisis intervention skills Ability to work the assigned schedule
