Clinical DirectorRole SummaryThe Substance Use Disorder Counselor delivers person-centered services through individual and group counseling sessions. This role requires advanced therapeutic expertise and the ability to operate independently within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate understands the full continuum of care and how clients progress through various stages of treatment.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate clinical records and assessments (including TAP, bio-psycho-social histories)Coordinate urine sample collection with strict adnce to protocolCollaborate with community organizations, health systems, courts, and referral sourcesProvide substance use counseling, education, and individualized supportDevelop treatment plans in coordination with the Program DirectorRefer clients to supplemental support services when necessaryManage a full caseload of clientsParticipate in ongoing professional development as directedRequired QualificationsActive Maryland licensure: LCPC, LMSW, LGPC, or LCSW-CMinimum 2 years of clinical experience in substance use or behavioral healthValid driver's license and appropriate credentialsCompletion of 25 hours of annual trainingSkills and CompetenciesProficiency with MS Office Suite and ability to learn proprietary systems (SMART, Beacon Health)Working knowledge of clinical documentation and chemical dependency manifestationsExpertise in group facilitation and behavior dynamicsAbility to build trust and engagement with diverse populationsStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsRespect for professional boundaries and ethical practice
