Role Overview:

Participate in the care of patients undergoing treatment for Opioid Use Disorder, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Observe patient progress through individual and group counseling sessions. Engage in direct patient contact, including assessments and education on treatment and recovery. Identify and address clinical or case management needs. Assist with counseling sessions and report abuse, maltreatment, or grievances. Contribute to patient orientation and ensure understanding of policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA) and organizational policies. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support program goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university with a program offering internship course credit. Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, preferably with introductory coursework in substance abuse. Must pass a security background check and adhere to ethical, professional, and organizational standards. Meet with internship supervisor as required.
