Job Description
Overview We are seeking a full time Alcohol and Drug Counselor to provide group sessions in an outpatient treatment setting, starting in July. The ideal candidate will be experienced with a combination of substance use and mental health recovery. This role will be mostly in-person, with some opportunity for hybrid work from home. We are looking for someone who wants to run nighttime groups Monday-Thursday from 6-7 pm, with additional hours dedicated to individual sessions and paperwork as needed. Starting pay rate will be $30 an hour, plus opportunity for a performance reviews after one year. Responsibilities Create treatment plans based on client assessments. Provide individual and group therapy sessions in an outpatient setting. Document treatment paperwork such as biopsychosocial assessments, intakes, diagnoses, and progress reports. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients. Offer addiction counseling as needed, supporting clients through recovery processes. Requirements Substance Use Counselor must have one of the following certifications: CAC-AD (certified alcohol counselor), CSC-AD (certified substance counselor), or an ADT (alcohol and drug trainee) Experience in behavioral health treatment settings. Knowledge of addiction counseling techniques. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
