Per‑class or hourly (based on experience) About the Position Our agency is seeking a Clinical Drug & Alcohol Counselor (CDAC) to facilitate DWI education classes and provide related substance use services on a part‑time contract basis. This role is ideal for a credentialed counselor who values flexible scheduling, structured curriculum delivery, and independent clinical work. Responsibilities Facilitate state‑approved DWI education classes Provide brief intervention, support, and referral recommendations as needed Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all participants Ensure adherence to NC DWI program requirements and agency policies Communicate professionally with referral sources (probation, attorneys, treatment providers) Uphold confidentiality standards (HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2) Qualifications Active CDAC credential (or equivalent NC‑recognized substance use counseling certification) Experience facilitating DWI classes or substance use groups preferred Strong communication and group‑facilitation skills Reliable, organized, and able to work independently Comfortable maintaining professional boundaries and structured class flow Schedule & Structure Part‑time contract (1099) Flexible class scheduling Workload varies based on referrals and enrollment What We Offer Competitive per‑class compensation Supportive administrative team Flexible scheduling Opportunity to expand experience in DWI education and substance use services How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief statement of interest outlining your experience with DWI classes or substance use counseling.
