[Full-time] Position summary American Detox & Treatment Center is seeking a therapist to provide compassionate, structured care to adults receiving inpatient detox and residential substance use treatment. The therapist helps patients understand their substance use, address barriers to recovery, develop coping skills, and prepare for the next stage of care. This role works closely with nursing, medical providers, case management, and other members of the treatment team. Responsibilities Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans within required timeframes. Provide individual, group, and family therapy or counseling as appropriate to the patient's needs, credentials, and treatment plan. Use evidence-based approaches to address substance use, relapse prevention, motivation, emotional regulation, and recovery skills. Assess and communicate changes in a patient's mental status, safety, or treatment needs, including concerns about suicide or self-harm. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and coordinate care with nursing, medical providers, and case management. Support discharge planning, including referrals for ongoing treatment and community resources. Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Maintain professional boundaries, patient confidentiality, and a respectful, trauma-informed treatment environment. Qualifications Current South Carolina license or qualifying addiction counseling credential appropriate to the services provided. Experience treating substance use disorders strongly preferred; experience in detox or residential treatment is a plus. Ability to lead therapeutic groups and work effectively with patients in early recovery. Strong documentation, communication, and crisis response skills. Ability to meet applicable background screening and facility training requirements. Pay:

$28.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
