(National Alliance on Mental Illness) - 4.4 Oak Park, IL Job Details Part-time $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications CADC Driver's License Full Job Description The part time CADC position will provide substance use screening, recovery support, care coordination, and brief counseling to participants while collaborating closely with the Workforce Development and Employment team to integrate recovery and employment services. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct substance use screenings, assessments, and referrals to appropriate treatment and recovery resources. Provide individual and group psychoeducation on substance use, relapse prevention, recovery skills, wellness, coping strategies, and harm reduction. Support participants in maintaining recovery while pursuing employment, education, or vocational training by helping connect to treatment providers, peer recovery supports, and community resources. Collaborate with Employment Specialists to coordinate services that improve workforce readiness and successful community reintegration. Monitor participant progress, provide ongoing support, and intervene early when relapse or other barriers arise. Maintain accurate, timely documentation, case notes, assessments, and service records in Sumac within 24 hours. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with behavioral health providers, recovery organizations, and community partners with participant consent. Education/Skills Current Illinois Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing substance use counseling, recovery support, or behavioral health services preferred. Knowledge of evidence-based substance use treatment, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and recovery-oriented practices. Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic case management systems. Travel & Special Requirements Regular local travel throughout the service area is required. Must possess a valid Illinois driver's license, reliable transportation, current insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
