After School Program Counselor (Grades K-5) Jewish Community Center of the North Shore (JCCNS) Marblehead, MA | Part-Time Join the J Adventure After School Program Team! The J Adventure After School Program is looking for energetic, compassionate, and creative individuals to join our growing team! We provide a fun, engaging, and supportive environment for children in grades K-5 through a wide variety of activities including sports, swimming, yoga, dance, cooking, arts & crafts, STEM, games, and more. Schedule Monday-Friday, 1:45 PM-5:00 PM Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week . Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Lead and participate in daily activities, games, and enrichment programs. Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive behavior. Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and engaging environment. Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and staff. Assist with program setup, cleanup, and organization. Attend staff meetings, trainings, and special events as required. Report any concerns, incidents, or updates to the J Adventure Director. Qualifications Must be at least 16 years old . Previous experience working with children is required; experience in camps, schools, after-school programs, sports, or other youth-serving organizations is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team. Ability to lead activities both indoors and outdoors. Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and child engagement techniques is a plus. Physical Requirements This position requires active participation with children and may include: Running, climbing, kneeling, bending, and sitting on the floor. Participating in indoor and outdoor activities. Occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
