Join our team as a Therapeutic Mentor, providing individualized support and mentorship to children and adolescents. Our agency serves youth involved in the juvenile justice system, youth experiencing truancy, and/or children involved in the foster care system and group home settings. Mentors work directly with youth to promote positive behavioral change, accountability, healthy decision making, and personal growth. Join our team as a Therapeutic Mentor, providing individualized support and mentorship to youth while promoting positive behavioral change, accountability, and personal growth. Experience mentoring adolescent males and/or working with justice-involved youth is preferred. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply. Job Responsibilities Build trusting, supportive relationships with youth. Implement individualized behavioral plans and therapeutic strategies. Model healthy communication, accountability, emotional regulation, and decision making. Collaborate with families, educators, social workers, and other professionals. Monitor progress and complete required documentation. Promote conflict resolution, respectful interactions, and a safe environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field; OR Combination of education and relevant experience working with youth and families; OR High school diploma/GED with relevant behavioral health and/or mentoring experience. Must be 21 years or older. Valid Nevada driver's license, reliable transportation, vehicle registration, and insurance. Working laptop, computer, or tablet. CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain. New Hire Requirements New mentors must complete field-based training, including shadowing, direct observation, competency training, and supervision before receiving a full caseload. Before working with clients, candidates must pass: FBI background check Local Background Check - Metroscope Drug screening, including marijuana TB test with a negative result Work Schedule Flexible, part-time hours Availability after school, evenings, and weekends is required as needed.
