Harborcreek Youth Services is looking for dedicated Child Care Counselors to become vital mentors for at-risk male adolescents. In this role, you aren't just supervising—you are an essential catalyst for healing, growth, and real-world skill-building within a trauma-informed therapeutic environment. This position is an ideal fit for anyone who has previously worked as or aspires to be a Social Worker, Child Counselor, Teen Mentor, or Human Services Professional.

Provide direct, trauma-informed care and mentorship to youth navigating behavioral and emotional challenges. Lead interactive, participatory training to help residents build everyday life and social skills. Deliver proactive, preventive counseling and real-time crisis intervention. Support health, nutrition, and structured daily routines to build a stable, therapeutic community.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required; a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience working with youth in a therapeutic, recreational, or educational environment is a strong plus.
Age Requirement:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Requirements:
Must be able to work 2nd shift. Current PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal, and FBI Fingerprint clearances are required upon hire.
Safety Screening:
To ensure our environment remains safe for the youth we serve, all candidates complete The Diana Screen® (a brief 30-minute screening tool) during our interview process. Harborcreek Youth Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
