You will utilize a telehealth platform to conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and consultations with patients and their families. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to understand the unique needs of each child and adolescent. Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to developmental stages, cultural contexts, and family dynamics. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address various mental health concerns, varying from individual therapy to family interventions. Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers in supporting their children through mental health challenges. Work collaboratively with our child psychiatry team to ensure coordinated care and holistic treatment strategies. Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health incidents requiring immediate actions. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, therapy options, and available community resources. Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with legal standards and ethical regulations. Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and continuous professional development opportunities. Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health management. Patient Population / Client Focus This role specifically targets children and adolescents, providing therapeutic support to those navigating emotional and behavioral difficulties. You will be instrumental in fostering a safe and nurturing environment conducive to their mental health recovery and growth, engaging with both the young individuals and their families throughout the therapeutic process. Qualifications A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York. At least two years of relevant post-licensure experience demonstrating effective therapeutic practices. Understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with familiarity in evidence-based treatment techniques. Proficient in delivering both individual and family therapy sessions. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy. A track record of building rapport with young clients and their families. Hands-on experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. Preferred Experience Experience with a range of therapeutic interventions specific to child and adolescent populations. Additional training or certifications in specialized treatment modalities or areas of focus. Demonstrated success in managing complex cases and executing treatment plans effectively. Compensation and Benefits This position offers an attractive annual salary range of $115,000 to $130,000.
