Job Description

Youth Clinical Counselor (YCC) will be primarily responsible for immediate triage response to families with identified youth directly exposed to trauma after violent loss. The YCC will be expected to directly assess and implement therapeutic responses/interventions to the youth assigned to the worker's case load. Services are provided primarily in the home or within the environment of where the youth inhabits, i.e., school, park districts, program facilities. Within the role as a YCC, the clinician will be expected to provide quality intensive supportive counseling services and comprehensive referrals for 6 months per youth, per violent loss. Additional trainings will be provided and supported by clinical supervision. Including paid training for CFTSI, EMDR and Theraplay.
