In this role, you will lead and supervise students in various activities that promote their social, emotional, physical, and developmental growth. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a positive afterschool experience that encourages learning, teamwork, and fun. Responsibilities Supervise children and youth during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate engaging youth group activities, including arts, sports, educational games, and outdoor recreation Manage classroom behavior through positive discipline strategies and effective behavior management techniques Implement age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development and social skills Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR, AED operation, and emergency procedures Collaborate with team members to plan and execute special events or themed activities aligned with youth development goals Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care in accordance with best practices in special education Skills Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including camp or babysitting experience Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Ability to perform first aid, CPR, AED operation, and follow first aid protocols confidently Excellent child supervision skills with a focus on safety and engagement Experience facilitating youth programs or youth group activities in outdoor or indoor settings Effective team leadership abilities to coordinate with colleagues and support a collaborative work environment Background in teaching or working with students of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or in theater-based activities Ability to handle outdoor work environments comfortably while supervising children during outdoor recreation or field trips Join us in creating a vibrant afterschool community where children feel supported, inspired, and empowered!
