Job Description

Aerotek is supporting a large, fast‑paced 100 MW utility‑scale solar construction project in Maine and is seeking experienced Solar Journeyman Electricians for long‑term work. Journeyman Electricians are paying $55-$60 per hour plus $125 per day in per diem. This project is production‑driven and requires electricians who are comfortable working outdoors, maintaining pace, and supporting high‑volume solar installations in an active construction environment. Solar Journeyman Electricians will work on a new construction commercial solar farm performing electrical installations related to photovoltaic (PV) systems, including conduit installation, underground work, terminations, and system testing. This role is ideal for electricians with strong solar or utility‑scale experience who can work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Install and wire solar panels, racking systems, inverters, and other PV system components Bend, install, and land conduit; perform underground electrical work and cable pulls Complete electrical terminations, mod‑to‑mod connections, and string harness installations Perform VOC testing and support system testing and commissioning activities Read and work from construction drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics Troubleshoot electrical issues and support daily production targets Maintain jobsite safety, quality, and productivity standards Follow all site safety requirements, PPE guidelines, and electrical codes Required Qualifications Active Maine Journeyman Electrician license 6+ years of electrical construction experience (solar experience strongly preferred) Strong experience with conduit installation, underground electrical work, and terminations Experience performing electrical testing and troubleshooting on solar or commercial projects Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to work 50-60 hours per week with overtime Top Skills Solar electrical construction, photovoltaic (PV) installations, conduit bending and installation, underground electrical work, electrical terminations, mod‑to‑mod connections, string harness installation, inverter installation, electrical testing, VOC testing, blueprint and schematic reading, troubleshooting, and proficient use of hand and power tools in fast‑paced outdoor construction environments.

Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday overtime available as needed

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
