Certification IPC 610 Assembly Attention to detail Quality control Quality standards in production IPC-610 Certification Hand tools Electrical soldering Full Job Description Solderer IIPosition Summary Please Contact Luz at 303.835.6982 The Solderer II performs a variety of electronic assembly and soldering operations on components and subassemblies in a production environment. This role requires working from detailed process instructions, diagrams, specifications, and manufacturing procedures to assemble and rework printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. Work is primarily performed under a lighted magnification system using precision hand tools, soldering equipment, and specialized materials. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Follow all ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and proper board handling requirements. Comply with Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling procedures based on component Moisture Sensitivity Levels (MSL).
Perform soldering and assembly of:
Fine-pitch components Bottom-terminated components Through-hole devices Jumper wires Advanced rework and repair of electronic assemblies Utilize soldering irons and related tools to create reliable solder joints on printed circuit boards and assemblies. Read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, diagrams, and technical specifications. Apply flux and prepare work surfaces for soldering operations. Clean and maintain soldering equipment, including polishing soldering iron tips using approved materials and methods. Heat soldering equipment and workpieces to specified temperatures to ensure quality solder connections. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with IPC standards and quality requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Accurately document production activities within the electronic manufacturing system. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of electronic assembly and soldering techniques in a manufacturing environment. Ability to operate within an electronic manufacturing system, including OCuity. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity while working under magnification. Ability to read and follow written instructions, technical documentation, and assembly drawings. Understanding of IPC workmanship standards and quality requirements.
