Sourcing Manager

Transglobal Door in Upper Sandusky, Ohio is currently searching for a Sourcing Manager. This position will be stationed onsite mainly in our Upper Sandusky, Ohio plant but you will need to travel to your Warren, Ohio plant. Overview The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance across the organization. This role leads supplier selection, negotiates contracts, manages vendor relationships, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure the company secures the best possible value from its supply base. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business goals. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, materials, and cost‑saving opportunities. Lead RFP/RFQ processes, evaluate bids, and recommend supplier selections. Negotiate pricing, terms, and long‑term agreements to achieve cost and performance targets. Supplier Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as quality, delivery, and cost. Resolve supplier issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct supplier audits and risk assessments. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with operations, engineering, purchasing, and quality teams to understand requirements and ensure sourcing decisions support business needs. Support new product introductions by identifying and onboarding suppliers. Provide insights on market trends, cost drivers, and supply chain risks. Cost & Data Analysis Analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities and optimize supplier portfolios. Track and report cost savings, budget impacts, and sourcing performance metrics. Use data to forecast supply needs and negotiate more effectively. Compliance & Governance Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate documentation, contracts, and supplier records. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management. Experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Skills & Competencies Strong negotiation and communication skills. Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and procurement analytics tools. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Knowledge of procurement systems Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) Understanding of global supply markets and cost structures. Preferred Qualifications International & domestic manufacturing sourcing experience Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP. In this position you will be responsible for new product placement, cost improvement programs and inventory reduction programs. These responsibilities may involve international travel as well. Yearly Salary $100,000.00 depending on experience
