Sous Chef

Overview Our culinary team is looking for a Sous Chef. In this role, you will be the foundation of our kitchen, preparing delicious dishes with precision and flair. Base pay is $15.00-$18.00 per hour plus tips. Raises will be given after a 60 day evaluation. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols. Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and handling techniques are followed at all times. Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, minimizing wait times for guests. Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques to optimize efficiency and safety in the kitchen. Experience Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred but not mandatory. Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal preparation. Exposure to fine dining settings enhances your ability to meet high standards of presentation and service.
