Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production and kitchen management, with a strong background in fine dining and catering. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires excellent leadership skills, creativity in menu planning, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food production. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and special event catering. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. Monitor food preparation processes to uphold quality standards. Participate in shift management to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours. Foster a positive team atmosphere through effective communication and teamwork. Experience Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry. Strong background in fine dining, banquet service, or restaurant management preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff. Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus. Knowledge of inventory management, food service management, and culinary techniques. Excellent cooking skills with an understanding of various cuisines and presentation styles. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
