Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive K-12 environment near Fallon, NV. Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Previous teaching experience in a special education setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning Commitment to fostering a positive and respectful learning atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 5 students and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual educational needs Provide 35 hours per week of direct and consultative services in alignment with IEP goals Collaborate regularly with school psychologists, general education teachers, support staff, and families Assess students' academic and behavioral progress, adjusting strategies as necessary Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state regulations Actively participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
