Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs in an engaging educational environment. This contract position provides a unique opportunity for experienced Special Education Teachers to make a difference while enjoying the flexibility to choose the age group they feel most passionate about, from kindergarten through grade 12.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Demonstrated experience working with students requiring individualized educational support Ability to adapt strategies to various learning styles and needs Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff and families Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs Commitment to fostering inclusion and promoting student success
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to students on your assigned caseload (up to 35 students) Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, families, and administrators to ensure integrated care Assess student progress, collect data, and document outcomes to inform instruction Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team collaboration Implement adaptive tools and evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs Promote a positive, supportive classroom climate that values each student's strengths
