Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with special needs during the summer session. This role is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a meaningful impact. Working closely with virtual occupational, physical, and speech-language therapists, you will provide specialized instruction to a homebound student. An onsite paraprofessional will partner with you each day to ensure instructional goals are met and to help facilitate student engagement. This summer school assignment runs from June 1st through July 16th, with working hours from 11:45am to 2:45pm. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and current Special Education Teacher certification required Prior experience in special education settings Comfort with technology and virtual collaboration platforms Strong communication and organizational skills Patience, adaptability, and dedication to individualized instruction Experience implementing IEPs and coordinating with related service providers is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to a homebound student according to IEP goals Work in partnership with virtual OT, PT, and SLP for integrated support Coordinate daily with an onsite paraprofessional for student engagement Maintain documentation on student progress and communicate regularly with families and other team members Adapt teaching strategies to support the unique needs of the student Enjoy the chance to be a positive influence this summer while working in a supportive, team-oriented setting.
