Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role this summer, assisting homebound students as a Paraprofessional during their virtual therapy sessions. This unique contract opportunity focuses on facilitating Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) sessions, making a real difference in a student's educational experience. Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in educational settings is preferred Comfort with virtual learning technology and video conferencing tools Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow therapist and teacher directions precisely Patient, empathetic, and compassionate approach to working with students Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information Capable of assisting students with diverse needs
Core Responsibilities:
Support a homebound student during scheduled online OT, PT, and SLP sessions Ensure all equipment is set up and ready for virtual meetings Provide encouragement and assistance to help the student engage with therapists Follow individual education and therapy plans as directed by professionals Document and communicate issues, updates, or successes to supervising staff Maintain a positive and safe environment for online learning and therapy
Role Details:
Summer school position Start date: June 1st End date: July 16th
Schedule:
