Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are now available for Special Education professionals interested in making a difference on the scenic North Carolina coast. Multiple full-time positions are open, offering the chance to work with diverse student populations in both resource and inclusion settings. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching license (out-of-state licensure accepted) Experience with K-12 students in resource and/or inclusion environments preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with general educators, staff, and families Ability to develop and implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and adapt curriculum Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with students' individual educational plans Support students in both resource settings and inclusive classrooms as needed Assess student needs, track progress, and document outcomes Collaborate with colleagues and families to maximize student growth and engagement Foster an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming school culture
