Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to make an impact with elementary learners. This role supports students in a resource setting classroom, working within a collaborative team to create positive learning outcomes for grades 1-4. The position offers a full-time schedule—approximately 35 to 37.5 hours per week—beginning in late August and extending through mid-June, with possible additional days for planning as needed.
Key Qualifications:
Valid New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher with 1st-4th grade students Strong understanding of IEP processes and accommodations Ability to effectively manage a caseload of 15-20 students Collaborative mindset to work alongside other case managers, behavior analysts, and support staff Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small group instruction (pull-out and push-in) for students with diverse needs Collaborate with educators, specialists, and paraeducators to support student progress Manage IEPs, assessments, and progress monitoring for assigned students Communicate regularly with families to share progress and strategies Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development Enjoy working where teamwork is valued and every student's growth is the primary focus.
