Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Case Coordinator with positions available for high school, middle school, and elementary settings. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference by working directly with students, collaborating with in-person special educators, and supporting individualized learning plans. This role is based near Waterbury, VT, and is ideal for Special Education professionals seeking a dynamic, in-person role for the 2026-27 academic year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current teaching certification meeting all state special education requirements Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or Case Coordinator Familiarity with IEP development, compliance, and progress monitoring Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with special education staff and general education teams Comfortable supporting high school, middle school, or elementary caseloads (matching your placement) Committed to in-person education; remote work is not available for this position
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage assigned caseloads of students in designated grade levels (high school, middle school, or elementary) Pair with in-person special educators, particularly using the dyad model at the high school level Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure educational success Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to compliance standards Provide ongoing support and strategies for student achievement and inclusion
