Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real impact in the lives of young learners as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist supporting early intervention efforts in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity focuses on working with children ages 3-4, providing essential speech and language services as part of a dedicated Early Interventionist Team. Situated onsite, you'll become a vital part of a supportive educational community, working closely with students, families, and fellow professionals to help children achieve important developmental milestones.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid Louisiana SLP license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience working in school settings or early intervention is highly desirable Strong communication and collaboration skills—ability to work effectively with teachers, families, and fellow specialists Compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to supporting young learners' progress Ability to adapt therapy techniques to a variety of developmental levels and individual needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to 3-4-year-old students onsite Collaborate with the Early Interventionist Team to design and implement individualized intervention plans Evaluate students' communication abilities and document progress Communicate supportively with families and educational staff, fostering a team approach to student success Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for school-based services Participate in IEP meetings as needed, providing professional input on student needs and progress This part-time position (approximately four hours a day, four days per week) offers valuable work-life balance while making a positive difference for young children and their families.
